Welome To Voice of Hope Ministries!
Voice of Hope Ministries is a local church ministry preaching a 
message of hope to this generation. Founded in 1987 by Dr. David Harrison, the Voice of Hope Team has literally traveled the country telling the old story and giving this generation hope for the future.
Through revivals, tent meetings, youth crusades, public school meetings, conferences, missions, city wide evangelistic outreach, tapes and the printed page, Voice of Hope strives to reach as many as possible before the Lord returns for His Bride.
We trust you will spend some time with us at our site. We want you to get a sense of who we are and what we are about. We also pray that you will get a burden for our nation to once again experience an Old Time Revival!

UPDATE: (April 21, 2012) Well, where do I begin? It has been a great year! We started the year off with a 3 week trip which carried us 5000+ miles. A young preacher named Bobby Johnson, traveled with me. We started in the Home Missions Conference in Oklahoma City, OK at the Heartland Baptist Bible College. With over 100 Missionaries present, we were so blessed by what took place. The majority of those present got to present their works and their needs. Over $300, 000 was given to the different missionaries along with many other wonderful things that God did. I was so charged and challenged by the messages and I have to confess my burden has never been greater. There is such a need for new churches. Many places in the U.S. have no fundamental Gospel preaching church.
Then we had meetings in several churches in the West including Wyoming, Oklahoma and New Mexico. We returned to NC for our annual Regional Youth Conference. This takes place at the Liberty Baptist Church in Mooresville, NC. This year there was between 1400-1500 present. The power of God was present. The altar call took most of the service and I preached about a dozen "mini-messages." The Sampson Family were absolutely wonderful in their music and testimonies. Over 60 churches brought and registered youth groups. God really did an great work with 14 saved that night and at least 5 saved on Sunday morning.
Since then we have had several other youth rallies. All have been successful. We have traveled thus far this year in about a dozen states holding revivals, youth rallies, missions conferences and campmeetings. We have seen around 50 saved already.
Voice of Hope welcomes the newest member to our family. J.D. Leake and wife and 3 children moved to North Carolina earlier this year from Oklahoma City. He has joined Gospel Light Baptist Church, our home church and is now working with us. He has surrendered to full-time evangelism and home missions work. I am going to train him in all the areas that we are involved in and together we are planning some great things in the upcoming months ahead. He is 31 and has a real heart for God and a geniune burden for revival. Please add him to your prayer list. Along with traveling and working with us, he is beginning his deputation to raise support so he can work as a Evangelist/Missionary in the U. S. and help in areas such as church planting and church rescue and be able to do so without struggling to "pay the bills."
We have a lot that God is leading us to do. I am excited about the months ahead.
One more change is in my ministry. My wife has traveled with me from time to time over the years, but as of March of this year, she is now traveling with me all the time. After 39 years of marriage,we are now back to just "us two." I am so excited that she is able to go with me now all the time. Now many of you will be blessed by her. She is a wealth of experience and knowledge and has a true walk with God. She will be such a blessing to pastor's wives and pastor's families along with young wives and mothers. She has a heart for God. I am looking forward to God using her in a great way in this ministry.
Well, that is all for now. Much more to tell you later. Pray for us. We need God to help us raise some support that we have lost in the last year due to the slow economy.
